The issue of the current research is based on the study of stylistic metaphor and the technique of epic construction of theatrical scenes carried out by the artist Jawad Selim and projecting them on the specified spatial display space to remove the monument of freedom and highlight the cultural value of this product, which is considered one of the most important products of contemporary and ancient Iraqi sculpture which immortalized one of the greatest historical moments of the Iraqi people's struggle against injustice and tyranny, its victory after each of its fateful battles, and its ability to create a promising future for its sons.The aim of the current research is to: Identify the epic construction in the Freedom Monument.

The second chapter included the theoretical framework that the two researchers divided into two topics, the first topic: the foundations of epic construction. The second topic: two parts: the first: the foundations of sculptural construction, and the second part: the sculptor Jawad Selim. In the first topic, both the epic theater and the dramatic theater were reviewed in terms of the foundations of their construction, characteristics, features and functions, in addition to making comparisons and approaches between them. The second topic, in its first part, dealt with a review of the foundations, principles and bonding relationships that must be present in the structure of any sculptural product. The second part dealt with excerpts from the biography of the artist, the sculptor Jawad Selim, and his most important creative stations, especially the most prominent station, the Freedom Monument. This chapter also includes the indicators of the theoretical framework that the research has reached. The third chapter included the procedures taken by the researchers to achieve the research objective.The original community of the research was determined by a group of sculptural productions executed by the artist (Jawad Selim) and a sample was chosen for study and analysis, consisting of a group of sculptural scenes of the (Monument of Freedom), which numbered (4), models and analyzed to show what the infrastructure of the production. The fourth chapter included the most important findings of the research.
