Abstract

Sports scientists have been interested in the game of football, and technology has entered it, through the introduction of many devices and tools, which help to find a solution to its problems, and to develop it, the latest of which is the video referee technology (VAR), which achieves justice in some of the decisions taken by the referee during the match. The game of football is played by deaf players, and the same rules of the game are applied to them that apply to normal players, but a referee carries a flag with the whistle, to warn them when a violation of the rules of the game occurs, Therefore, the problem is the delay in the response of the deaf players to the referee’s decision in the presence of the violation in many cases during the match, because they are not paying attention to it, because they are busy in the reality of playing, and because they suffer from a lack of communication due to their loss of hearing, so there is a waste of physical effort for them, Because deaf players continue to play, this leads to not investing part of the match time, and the research aims to assess the impact of the electronic device for deaf players to communicate with the referee in developing match time management, through the time difference in the response speed of the deaf players to the referee’s decisions, and the time The investor through the cases of responding to the decisions of the referee without and with the use of the innovative device, and the experimental approach was used in the manner of two independent equal groups, The research sample included (6) referees (each one of them has one match without using the device and one match with the use of the device). The cases were analyzed by the deaf players’ response to the referee’s decisions for (12) matches, with (24) runs, for some teams of the Paralympic Committees for the Middle Euphrates region (Al-Muthanna, Karbala, Najaf, Babylon), the matches between the teams were held in the form of a two-stage league (the first (6) matches without a device, and the second (6) matches using the device) under the supervision of the Central Iraqi Federation for Deaf Games in the city of Karbala, By observing and analyzing (1080) minutes, which is equivalent to (18) hours, which were video-watched through the Kinovea kinetic analysis program. The results of the comparison of the study variables appeared significant in all the research sample and in favor of the use of the innovative device, and the researcher attributes this to the role of electronic devices and communication technology in developing the time management of the match, As for the most prominent conclusions, the innovative device had a positive overall impact in developing the number of players’ responses to referee decisions by (57.17%), And a positive impact in reducing the response time that was added to the match time, as it is estimated at (43) seconds for each round of the football matches for the research sample.
