Abstract

Nationality is the basis on which to distinguish nationals from foreigners. Thus, nationality is the basis upon which individuals are protected from dangers, as well as their enjoyment of rights and privileges. In the past, nationality was considered an eternal bond between the individual and the state, but this principle has ceased to exist.
